Temple of Sorrow (12hrs prior)

The commlink’s rapid beeps broke the Proconsul’s deep train of thought as the turbo lift came to a smooth stop. Exiting the turbolift, DarkHawk activated his commlink.

“DarkHawk report to the Consul’s office immediately.”

“Copy that, on my way.” Three floors up and one wing ov er, DarkHawk made his way to the Overlord’s office. Entering the office, the Consul could be seen standing behind his desk. “Sir, you summoned…” The Proconsul stopped in his tracks. To his right, a figure slipped out of the shadows. Immediately recognizing the presence of the Grand Master, DarkHawk dropped to one knee and paid his respect to the Lion of Tarthos.

Muz moved forward towards Betre’s desk, motioning for his parishioner to stand. He passed over a datapad. “I felt the disturbing presence coming towards us.”

The datapad contained an intel report from Clan Taldryan’s Consul. The intel explained Taldryan’s encounter with a group known only as the Unchained. Taldryan had encountered them as they were in the Caelus System looking for an artifact. Now they are headed for the Orian system with their eyes set on the Temple of Sorrow. Furthermore, a sizeable fleet is being helmed by one Sith Lord Rowik Flaq. A Sith Techweaver concerned primarily with pillaging Force artifacts from any Dark Jedi sect that the Unchained convert or destroy.

“A Sith Sir?”

Muz nodded. The report described the fleet, highlighting their flagship, the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Satal. She is followed by her attack dogs, a Victory-class Star Destroyer Acina and two Vindicator-class Heavy Cruisers. Bentre immediately activated his desk’s commlink, “Control this is Consul, I want an immediate deep scan of the system. We have confirmation of a potential hostile threat to the system. Relay transmission to House Summits. SITREPS every twenty minutes, move us to DEFCON Three.” “What the hell are they looking for here anyway?”

“Erinyes informed me, an artifact.”

“Can we confirm which artifact?” asked Bentre.

“Not yet.”

Bentre rubbed his chin as he calculated his thoughts. “Master Muz, would you agree that this Unchained has some intel on us as they make their way to our backyard.”

“Yes. But to what extent? That is yet to be revealed.”

“How long ago did they leave the Caelus System? Can we presume they are unaware of the fact we know they are enroute?”

“Erinyes reports within the last ninety minutes.” A raised eyebrow and a connotative expression from the Grand Master was all the answer the Proconsul needed.

“Understood my Liege”

“This does not leave us much time.”

“No, but a show of force may be all the deterrent we need. We can have one of the Houses back us up.”

“Should we reach out to Taldryan and have them join us? After all, they have dealt with these folks already, and now they will be traipsing around in our backyard.”

“DarkHawk, are you still in contact with Xolarin?”

“Yes Sir, I am.”

“Good, make contact on my orders only. Let us plan a proper welcome for our guests first.”

“Copy that Sir. Shall I contact Hades and Malisane?"

Bentre nodded. “We will convene in the war room DH. Bring them up on the Holonet in there.”

“Immediately Sir,” DarkHawk said, bowing as his Consul and Grand Master exited.

Well, hello there fellow Clanmates! A lot has gone on over the past few weeks. It keeps us busy with diving into all these excellent comps we have been offered. More importantly, through all YOUR outstanding contributions and submissions, we get to celebrate, well, YOU!

As you can see, we have a little bit of a situation brewing with the Unchained headed our way. The event is underway, we have had some solid activity with the comps. As always, that is because of you! Keep that going! Go here for more details and to dive into those comps!

We have had a lot of solid crosstalk amongst the Summit chat as of late. Those talks have ranged from varying topics. One topic has been leadership aspects and what WE can do better. We have great leaders amongst our brethren. Whether it be a cold hard truth(s) or just solid mentoring moments, not taking that sage advice is just outrageous. Our goal(s) align regardless of your place or position, the end goal is to make OUR Clan better. That is everyone's intention, and it’s the little things on our part that go a long way.

What is in store for us folks? After our Unchained event with Clan Taldryan, we will roll into the RoS. Now we all have been through these before, and we have all just kicked ass at them. So, Summit is asking for your service once again. Side by side, we go into those engagements as a Clan and come out stronger together. Course, coming out on top and getting all those credits and accolades is ALWAYS a bonus. I am still learning, and I am lucky to have seasoned folks to learn the little quirks from. So I would like to thank all the Summit members for their continued mentorship of me.

Let us see what has been happening around the Clan for the last few weeks or so. I get so involved with the weekly and event updates I forget about updating my reports. So I apologize for the lack thereof. The HYPE-TRAIN for you all is still there! So here we GO!
