Shadow of the Kesaret Midway Update

The Maelstrom Corsairs appeared out of nowhere, at least so it appeared. From behind the

asteroid fields and voids of the impenetrable nebula that was Kiast, a make-shift armada

formed up to the horror of the Odanite pilots. So few against so many.

Aaleeshah was undeterred, indeed she had been expecting something of this sort since Tython

Squadron had returned from the Unknown Regions. The fact that she was unable to signal for

help was less reassuring. She was not alone, however. Some of the best pilots in Kiast flew with

her.

“It is no good Aaleeshah. We are pulling back. Unless you can establish comms with the OEF

and get the entire Navy scrambled we are pulling back to Sky Breach. Whatever is jamming us

shouldn’t be able to affect the Central Cloister. We need to get back immediately,” stated Mar

Sul. The Tactical Officer was right, and Aalesshah knew it. “Damn,” she muttered to herself.

She formed up with the four other Tie Defenders of the patrol mission. A small part of her

wanted them to make a run at largest enemy ship, confident that whatever was jamming them

was stationed aboard. Aaleeshah liked the pilots’ odds against the ancient Acclamator-class

Assault ship.

Through the Force she sensed that Tyraal, Talis, and Jafits Skrumm felt the same

way. Only Mar Sul and Kasula Daegella felt a sense of foreboding as they formed up.

Biting her lip she continued to monitor the enemy flotilla. Surely, an Acclamator and a pair of

Mauraders were not so ominous, as old and primitive as they were. Surely, they would be

piloted by rag tag crews of scum. Before she could finish rationalizing things to herself, her

heart sank to the pit of her stomach.

“Full speed to Sky Breach, now! We may need to buy the orbital platform crew time to

evacuate!” The rest of the team understood instantly what Aaleeshah meant as their displays

illuminated several large signatures. From behind the Acclamator three Carrack-class light

cruisers and a pair of Strike-class medium cruisers flickered into being, and began launching

dozens of fighter-craft.

House Event: Shadow of the Kesaret

Welcome to the February/March Satele Shan report and Mid-Event update Satellites for the House Event: Shadow of the Kesaret!. Just about 6 days till the event ends. The event will end March 9th and features 9 events to include a team run-on. You can find details to the House event HERE. I know we have had a few busy months since the GJW with other events, but do not delay as big rewards are up for grabs. I am proud of you all and look forward to that final push from each of you. Keep it up we are almost there.

Also do not forget the overall winner will win the weapons shown below to use on their wiki page as they see fit. They are previous spoils of war recovered from a top agent of the Maelstrom Corsairs that was defeated in the last house event Voyage of the Last Kesaret.

House News

The event is going strong. One of the only issues we have been finding is with folks looking for Run-On teammates. Remember you only need 2 members to a team, with a maximum of 4. If you haven’t been able to start on this now, you still have plenty of time to get in and participate. If you are having trouble finding a team please reach out to Len, Mauro, or myself on Telegram, or e-mail. We can quickly match you up.

Aedile Report

Jedi, Mercenaries, Loyalists, lend me your ears, Welcome to the end of February report! The House event is now in full swing, and I am excited to see how you all do in this event. We have one or two more big events on the horizon, but there will down time, you all have earned it.

I will be continuing the Monday Weekly Round-Ups (as I just decided to start calling them) in both Telegram and, starting next week, email. These will be little snips of Brotherhood, Clan, and House news along with Competitions that are easy to do. Maybe, we’ll ask some member questions to help develop characters.

Lastly, this March I want you to push out of your comfort zone and try something new. Never earned a Cluster of Graphite? Go for it! All you have to do is give it your best attempt. Is there a job open you want? Apply! The workload isn’t that intense for most positions. The key with all of this is win or lose ask for feedback. Feedback is how you know what to improve. Ask for help, ask for a proofer (especially important for big comps and applications). Any of us on the Summit are available to help with application proofing (as long as we are not the ones looking to fill a position) and will give your fiction a read (as long as we aren’t running the comp or judging the ACC match). What we are a part of here let’s us try new things in a safe environment where your real life won’t be affected. So why not give something new a try?

Well that is the quick update on the House for now Satellites. We are in the final push and I’m excited to see what you all do with the event. I hope you have enjoyed the fiction and look forward to the end results. Highlighted members will be mentioned in the next report in regards to the great work they have been doing over the past two months. Also look out for some great rewards in the next report and stay tuned for the ending fiction that will wrap up the House event and add to our possessions as well as House lore on the Wikipedia. This fiction and Wikipedia lore will featuring some of our top participating and placing members during the event, so believe in yourself! You can do it! Go out and do big things folks!
