Brotherhood News

Quite a few things have happened Club wide that may affect you. Be sure to check them out.

• Your beloved VOICE (aka Wally) has published a fictional update on where we stand with the Collective. Be sure to check it out as we move into the new month, it may be beneficial to you all moving forward. hint hint

• Also, be sure to check out the P:FIST report! It contains a lot of useful information, including the results of the ESO test run, a highlight of some current gaming competitions being run, GMRG rank elevations, and many other nifty things! If you’re into that gaming thing, be sure to check it out and get up to date on all the new gaming news!

• Be sure to catch the first report from our new Combat Master, Archenksov! It contains information on all the changes that have been implemented into the ACC and things that are yet to come. If you like to do the fighty-fighty writing, this news post is definitely a must-read.

Clan News

• We officially have a new PCON and his name is Uji/Donny/Maaz/Log! If you haven’t yet, congratulate him on his newfound responsibilities and wish him success in his new position. Because let’s face it, his success means success for the rest of us! Woo! Victory screech!

• Along the same lines, we also welcome a new Arconae to the mix! Congratulations once more Terran and thank you for everything you’ve done for the Clan.

• Consul Report: The newest report from the Shadow Sloth, this time featuring our very own log-tastic Uji as PCON! As always, check out all the good stuff they have to say as it is relevant to all of you!

• HQD Summit Report: Yet another report from the dastardly duo that is your Quaestor and Aedile; the leader of the blue man group and the literal firey red-head (respectively). Lots of good info in this one as well, folks. Please give it a read!

• Galares Summit Report: Go support those other guys in Arcona. They say some good things every once in a while. There might be some ramblings to enjoy over in that general direction.

Competitions

• A:VD3: Prom NIght: There are still three days left on this fun series of competitions hosted by your pants-less Consul! There are still EIGHT competitions running of all shapes, sizes, and genres for you to participate in, folks! Love is in the air so get those entries in while you still can!

• Voice Workshop: Dramatic Irony: Your VOICE staff is putting on several events in order to help members like you improve their writing! The latest is an exercise in the utilization of dramatic irony in fiction. If you’re interested in fiction writing at all, I highly recommend you check it out. Wally does a great job of giving constructive criticism to all entries and it could benefit you both now, with shiny things, and in the future, as you learn to utilize this particular literary element!

• Brotherhood Rising: Multi-Objective Prompt I: In the lead-up to the next major Brotherhood event, we see this fiction competition. Write your character taking part in any of the three thrilling missions provided for a chance to earn a shiny and prepare yourselves for what’s to come for the club!

How do you feel about the friendly competition our two units are going to have?

I say bring it on! My dad kids can beat up your kids! Fite me.

Does the fact that it will debilitate the Collective add any incentive for you or your unit personally?

I mean, it’s a fun bonus that it will kick those frackers in the nards. The fact that their entire manifesto is basically ‘Force users are jerks, let’s kill all of them’ and the majority of Voidbreakers are force sensitive makes Lee go into protective mama bear mode, so any chance to stick it to them and laugh in their faces about it is alright in her (and my) book. Again. Fite me.

Wally wants to know:

If Lee could have super powers, like Super Pixie, what would they be?

Hmm. If they were super powers like Super Pixie, I would have to say flight (Eilen/Tali TK-ing her through the air). Now I need to put my art skills to the test again. >.>

Kordath asks:

After being a proper voyeur on the Spectre Cell RP time, any plans?

I do quite like the idea of letting people explore their characters in situations that might not otherwise come up (ex. Getting drunk and playing Truth or Dare), especially those who aren’t big into fiction competitions. That being said, I feel like I would run out of interesting ideas pretty quickly. We would all end up sitting around the Voidbreaker, awkwardly staring at each other. >.>

What was your favorite bit from last night?

Either the sheer number of nat fails or Atty’s pure disgust that Satsi ended up in just her underthings, sitting on a barstool that’s been Ashla and Bogan know where. xD

Was Lee’s master always such a prude?

While Qyreia is definitely not what people expect when they think Zeltron, I don’t think I would classify her as a prude. She just has standards when it comes to people she chooses to ahem engage with. Something that wouldn’t stand out for someone of literally any other race. But that’s just my interpretation. Not my character so if you want a real answer, I would suggest poking the Q-ball.

Atty/Satsi asks:

What event have you most enjoyed participating in and would you like to see more of done?

Hmm. That’s a tough one. I have, thus far, really enjoyed the Sins plot and love what you and Vic have done with it. I’m really eager to see how that turns out. Otherwise, I really have loved that we’ve started incorporating multi-objective prompts into fiction competitions and run-ons. Something that allows for all types of characters to be involved rather than forcing a rather diverse group of writers into a very narrow plot for the sake of plot.

Zuji asks:

How have you enjoyed your BTL experience so far? What has been your favorite part of the job that you keep looking forward to?

I absolutely love being a BTL. While it is just a taste of leadership in the club, I’ve found it to be very fulfilling. I get to interact with all of you and help the summit make decisions based on what you guys want/need. My favorite part is always getting to acknowledge all the hard work the members put in. Whether that’s through awards, promotions, or even just through the activity section of the report, it makes me so unbelievably happy to see you guys doing the things and moving up in the club and getting recognized for it.

What is your favorite past time activity in the DJB? (Minus Ferret watching)

Lee’s favorite past time is putting in time in the training room. Typically trying to hone her force powers, as that was something that Qyreia couldn’t exactly teach her during their time together. She knows that by bettering herself, she is not only giving herself a better chance at survival but also ensuring that those around her survive as well and that motivates the shit out of her.

If you could play a new character, what profession or race would you go with?

I’ve got an idea or two floating around my noggin for my (currently unoccupied) NPC slot. Depending on how busy I am in the near future you might just find out! (Though it will definitely be something that goes against the mold/stereotype/what you would expect.)

Would Lee like a friendly muffin basket shipped occasionally to the Voidbreaker for sanity saving and taste explosion?

Lee would love that very much. Though, in order to save her waistline, she would definitely pick out a few of her favorites and then offer the rest to her crew. I’m sure they enjoy tasty treats too. She would just have to make sure she’s out of the direct route to the break room before announcing that there are baked goods available…
