Emissary Watch Party Update

After being informed that it is in fact illegal in the US to screen-share streaming service content, I must regretfully cancel the "watch" portion of the watch party. Zuza has dispatched Mothman to resolve the matter, after which point the watch parties will resume.

In the meantime, we still plan to host a hangout this Saturday, and will find a different fun activity to do instead!

In this short notice there are options like playing online boardgames. Catana Mysterium, and there is also Boardgames Arena.

some streamers do stream parties but only of shows on Amazon since they own Twitch. they don't get in trouble with piracy laws in the US cause the shows are part of amazon prime website

I'm unaware if this has been mentioned in the past but Tabletop Simulator is a great (albeit sometimes frustrating) platform through which to play long distance tabletop/card games. There is a one-time payment of $20 USD (allow for adjustment outside of US) for all clients; only the host is responsible for managing assets. If you purchase the platform, and have formed a consensus on the game to be played, all clients need do is install the platform.

If you have a physical copy and a disk player on your PC you could just stream the movie via that. I cant say if that is any less illegal but it may work.
