I have concentrated mainly on the launch of the Dark Side Compendium Studies. Please can I urge you all to sit this exam and help make it a sucess. Lots of new members arriving back to Galthain form the Rogue list and hopefully each House is growing that little bit more each day. Drako and myself have been in contact with the Summit of Clan Naga Sadow (KE Trevarus Cearick and SBM Kale). Hopefully a feud will be approved, Trevarus has written to DGM/DJM Astatine</div> <div align="left">and we are awaiting his dark blessing.</div> <div align="left"><font face="Arial"></font> </div> <div align="left"><font face="Arial">News:</font></div> <div align="left">As you will see from above the Shadow Academy DSC Studies course has been approved and opened. Yet again, a quiet week... :( Prolly due to lack of comps ect. So, I'll be setting a graphics/web comp before the weekend. That should get y'all busy ;) Also a JK comp against Dinaari is in the works.. That will be announced soon - so get up to scratch in JK ;P

Sorry for the delay with the Brigade SGT. Myself and DH will announce the new SGT as soon as its approved! :)

Greetings, gentlemen.

1) This has been a very active week. Once I was appointed, I started contacting the Houses' summits, inquiring about their status, projects, etc... Response has been fairly acceptable, but I will have to work on a more accurate reporting system.

2) I have registered a domain, obeliskorder.org. The site will be developed mainly by OBL Rizlib, and I'll most likely do the coding, unless I can get help and dedicate to the administrative part... So if anyone is willing to help, please contact me.

3) I have decided to give my former M:CoG Mairin Praetor status in the Obelisk Office. I have already been questioned about this decision, being that Mairin is a Krath member. Well, I could talk for hours about leadership and how knowing where to look for assistance is a key part of it, but instead I only ask you to wait and see the results.
Mairin will be coordinating the development of the new Obelisk Studies. They will be improved, and will include a wide variety of courses regarding anything an Obelisk member would want to learn. If you have ANY ideas concerning this, or would like to join the team and help, please contact us at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Any other suggestions are also most welcome.

4) I'm starting a competition for the creation of the Obelisk Order and Clans battle uniform. Members from any order may participate. All you have to do is design a uniform (using the tool of your choice, be that a pencil or a graphic editing tool) for your clan, of for the Obelisk Order. Once we get all the designs, and decide about a winner, we'll get those coded and made JK skins out of them.

Depending on participation, awards will be given to first, second and third place.

With the resignation of Brad from Consul of Clan Scholae Palatinae, I have been given the 'nod and smile' by Astatine to become the new Consul. (However the roster is still yet to be updated)

So now I need a new Proconsul. I am going to open this up to the entire Brotherhood. And in a Consul position I will be looking for the following: 

            - A hard worker.

  • Past leadership positions.

  • Not a 'Type-A' personality.

  • Creativity in the area of competitions.

  • Somone who can get work done on time! >:) So if you think you can take on this position, email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] with your ID Line, and the typical resume of "Why? What you will do? and other EH stuff".

Not that hard, I hope to see many applicants...

Thank you all for your congratulations.

There are a lot of things I have to catch up with, taking into account current obelisk projects, GMRG stuff I still have going, and new projects I already have in mind. Involved parties will be contacted withing the next couple of days. Of course, if you wish to send questions, suggestions, or whatever, please do.

Also, I'm accepting suggestions for the obelisk order domain name. Whoever suggests the domain I pick (and IF I pick one :P), will get a medal. Please send your suggestions via email.

1) I'm pleased to report that I am nearly finished with the changes that I'm making to the SA site, and that I will be uploading the new site within the week, all going well.
Update: The SA Site is now uploaded, sans some graphics.

2) I'm also pleased to announce that all of the profiles that were in the system when I logged in last were taken care of, giving the SA a new round of Graduates:

4) I have started a topic for general Shadow Academy stuff on the Message Board. Time constraints have not allowed me to check it, but I plan to read anything that was posted there by late Saturday evening.
Update: Thanks to everyone that has posted, keep your comments comming.

5) Sith Studies and Krath Studies will begin to move forward shortly. Obelisk Studies will be understandibly delayed.
Update: With the appointment of a new OHC, Obelisk Studies shouldn't be too far behind the other Orders. Congrats Z'lar Kahn!

6) Have a crazy idea for the SA? E-mail me! I don't care how off-the-wall it is.
Update: Hey, I've already received one idea because of this, and it was something that hadn't really been considered for the most part, but now may very well be put into effect. Keep sending in ideas!

7) DB Basics grading is back to 1-2 weeks due to RL stuff. My thanks to many patient Apprentices.

After conferring with the outgoing OHC, Dread, I've decided to appoint the current CoG to the position of OHC. ZK has previously held the position of OHC and will be overseeing the closer integration of the GMRG and the office of OHC. Because any further delay will just hurt Tarentum, as well as delay other things I want to get in motion, I've decided to name the new Consul. It was a very hard decision, as the two recommended persons by the former Consul were both qualified in different ways for the position. The current Proconsul, Pel, has more experience in higher-level command, while the other recommended person, Ciara, was high on energy, enthusiasm and persistant drive. However, in the end, I felt that appointing Ciara to Consul would put unfair pressure on her to perform, so I've decided to appoint Pel to the position of Consul. As previously agreed to by both parties, Ciara will be elevated to the position of Proconsul of Tarentum. Good luck to both of you.

A. This is a small competition, thus the title of "complet". Basically, you HTML the runon that was on the DB message board here. Below are the criteria for your work of HTML mastery:</p>

      - Tasteful 
      colour scheme

  • Consistant look throughout

  • Clear definition between different postings

  • A list of the authors of the postings

  • DON'T make it one big document

  • Have some sort of easy to use navigation system to go between the pages of the runon 

    <p>**Q. How do I enter?**

    A. Construct your compiled runon and upload it to some web space. Then email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] with the subject "My l33t runon compilation", with your DB ID line and the URL of your work. Failure to use the correct mailing address, subject or body will get you disqualified.</p> <p>Q. Yeah, whatever, just tell me what I win.
    A. First place gets a War Cross/Bronze Scroll. Second place will get a Dark Cross. If the winning entry is super-duper, ultra-fantasic, I might even give the person a Steel Cross.</p>

  • A banner/logo for Vashino

  • 1 or more other pages, which could have a message borad, or pic gallery. Winner will get a Steel Cross!
