These changes reach from the Clan Summit all the way down to the Battleteam level, and now I find myself in charge of a whole new team, with a whole new mission; and yet, the mission is still the same: ensure the dominance of Clan Arcona. <table border="0" cellpadding="5" bgcolor="#111144" width="85%"><tr><td>_Oblivion Brigade was established, drawing partially upon the resources of Prophecy Phyle, to address the latter group's weaknesses in a changing galaxy. Archpriest Arcturus Xyler had reorganized Prophecy Phyle by folding its members into the staff of Naruba Investments, thereby giving them an ability to move about the galaxy at large while blending into the background. This was good, as it allowed them to perform their mission - covert intelligence gathering - well. Unfortunately, as the Yuuzhan Vong war wore on after the Ninth Great Jedi War, Prophecy Phyle was sent on more and more direct action assignments. Therefore, it was decided to realign some of the members into a covert action squad - it would allow House Qel-Droma to maintain some of the intelligence-gathering abilities of Prophecy, but also combine it with some assault unit elements.

Because of this, Oblivion Brigade would draw from all three Orders in the Brotherhood, as well as looking for individuals talented in more mundane (if eclectic) skills as well. The concept was that while Dark Jedi in the role of commandos would be effective, there would always be missions where the intervention of Dark Jedi would only call unwanted attention on the team - or on the House, the Clan, or even the Brotherhood as a whole._ - Dark Jedi Brotherhood Database entry, Oblivion Brigade</td></tr></table>

Yeah, my fictional intro isn't as cool as Etah's, as much as it pains me to admit it. But, there's a lot of ground to cover here, so let's get crackin'

The second little fiction bit, if you follow the link, you will find is the first couple of paragraphs of the Oblivion Brigade wiki page. As with most wiki pages, it is something of a work in progress. Anyone who has ideas on it, at least drop a suggestion in my inbox, on the talk page, or just go ahead and do it. (Especially if you're in the battleteam - you know who you are.)

Oh, also, we need graphics, mottos, and other stuff like that. Y'know, the usual felgercarb.

Competitions Current

Trivia, What's That, Who Said That, URL Hunt - First round complete, second round should be out tomorrow.
Arcona Arena - Members will challenge members from other battleteams only to skirmishing fights in the Arcona Arena (see email for details), and will have the remainder of the week to complete as much of the battle as possible. It is advised that members involved in Arcona Arena fights work as quickly as possible to complete the fight, and issue challenges early on, as the earlier they submit the challenge, the earlier it can be posted, thus allowing them more time. Members who have agreed to challenge each other will nominate one of the pair to send the Consul details of the challenge via email to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. In addition to earning 2nd level crescents for the top three Arcona Arena performers. No new fights will be posted after the 31st, so get to gettin'! CC has sent an open challenge over email - go kick his ass!
Fiction - You have until midnight GMT on the 3rd of November to get your submissions to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Write a fiction detailing your Battleteam hunting down and capturing a Terentatek. Remember to include your ID Lines, PIN and Battleteam in your email AND on the submission itself, and to have the appropriate topic in the email. Requirements are a minimum of 2 pages (size 12, arial font) and submissions to be attached in .doc or .docx form.
Graphics - You have until midnight GMT on the 3rd of November to get your submissions to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Design a banner for your Battleteam. Remember to include your ID Lines, PIN and Battleteam in your email and to have the appropriate topic. Requirements are that it be in .jpeg form. Also CC them to me, as I will be using the one I like best.
