Just like on the forums, the Wiki has a policy that encourages users to use their DJB Character name as their user name.

Many people are just unaware that such a policy exists. Others didn't know the limitations of the user name. One thing many people don't know - you can use a blank space in your username. There are many users with the format of "FirstnameLastname" because they didn't know you could use a space.
