The Headmaster's Message

Welcome, brethren, to the Shadow Academy.

For you new members, I tell you now to forget what you think you know. You did not, indeed could not, have found this place on your own. Every step was guided by our hand, whether through our agents or unwitting puppets. Our name is whispered as myth and legend amongst the galaxy. Those who know of our true existence do not speak openly for fear of what may happen to them. You are here because we have called you, not because you think you belong here.

Whether a new member or a returning member, the training and information contained within these hallowed halls is here for your benefit. The Shadow Academy is a resource to all members, beginning with the basics and moving into more advanced studies. After passing the Test of Lore, new members are highly encouraged to take the Brotherhood Basics Course.

The Shadow Academy is currently undergoing some major rework, but you may take any of the courses offered (found on the menu to the left). Updates will be announced on the main DB page as they happen.

Special note about spelling: English is the primary language of the Dark Brotherhood. In some courses, you may see British English spellings of words, and in others you will see American English spellings. This merely reflects the origins of the course writers, but both are perfectly acceptable. The only exception to this rule is that the word "lightsaber" should always be spelled with the American spelling because that is how George Lucas spelled it, and how it appears in all official publications.
